<br /> 7A <br /> Page 7 <br /> Notice of Proposed Increase in Sewer Rates <br />The City of Redwood City (the "City") staff has recommended that the basic sanitary sewer service charge be increased. These increases are being proposed in <br />order to offset a projected increase in the cost for wastewater treatment services. The proposed increases are as follows: <br />. Increase minimum monthly residential Basic Service Charge from $26.27 ro $33.00 effective August 25, 2006. <br />. Increase minimum monthly all user categories, commereial Basic Service Charge from $26.27 to $33.00 effective August 25, 2006. <br />. Increase minimum additional monthly commercial charge per 100 cubic feet of waste or wastewater discharged or deposited into the sewerage <br /> facilities in excess of one thousand (1000) cubic feet for the following User Catef:ories: <br /> 0 Retail/Commercial from $2.20 to $2.25 <br /> 0 Restaurant from $3.68 to $3.75 <br /> 0 Supermarket from $3.66 to $3.73 <br /> 0 Institutional from $2.12 to $2.16 <br /> 0 Hospital from $2.27 to $2.32 <br /> 0 Industrial from $1.88 to $1.92 <br />The City Council will hold a public hearing 011 Monday ,June 26, 2006, at 7:00PM, at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road. At the public hearing, the City <br />Council will consider public comments. as well as written protests received against the proposed sewer increases.
