<br />Council Finance and Revenue Committee members explained the possible impact <br />of the utility user's tax on the general fund and the study of the business license <br />fees. <br />Council Members made various comments and asked various questions related to <br />the traffic engineering staffing level and various other proposed options. <br />Public Comment: <br />Janet Borgens expressed gratefulness that three gang suppression officers have <br />been added and encouraged restoring Fire Engine #9 to the community. <br />Council comments and discussion ensued with consensus to spend the $420,000. <br />surplus with Council Member Aguirre dissenting. <br />M/S HartnettlBain to direct the City Manager to adjust the budget to expend <br />approximately $630,000. which includes restoring the administrative position in <br />City Attorney's office; funding the attorney fees request from the City Attorney and <br />Human Resources; City Council activities request; City Manager, Community <br />Building and Traffic position, Community Service officer for Code Enforcement; <br />Project Read funding; and option #3 for restoration of Engine #9. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present with Council Member <br />Howard absent. MINUTE ORDER 06-129 <br />Recess: 9:40-9:45 p.m. <br />Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) Chair Kevin Bondonno <br />presented the Human Services Financial Assistance recommendations that were <br />a reiteration of the presentation in April. <br />M/S Ira/Foust to accept the recommendations made by the HHCC. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present with Council Members <br />Howard absent. MINUTE ORDER 06-130 <br />8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br />A.
