5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL/
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
M/S Howard /Bain to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by
title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. Item 5.1.D
was removed from the Consent Calendar for separate consideration. The motion
passed by a unanimous roll call vote.
Eric Fischer stated that on April 28 he got a haircut at a business on the 2400 block of
Broadway and because there was no available parking in the five spaces in front of
the business, he proceeded to the next block where the spaces were labeled 20-
minute parking. Since he need more than 20 minutes, he proceeded to the next block
where the spaces were all full, and finally found a space on Hamilton in front of the old
PCA office. He paid for 2 hours of parking and walked 3 blocks back to the haircut
establishment, where his appointment was delayed, and returned to find RC #183172
on his windshield and that he had just missed the meter timer by 15 minutes. He
stated his frustration with the desire for local citizens to support the local businesses
and enforcement in an area with little demand for parking. He suggested consideration
be given to circumstance.
5.1 Section — Motions -
A.
