5, should definitely be determined by an independent citizen commission. To suggest only
council members can understand the complexity of the city displays an exaggerated sense of
self-importance that I hope none of our council members possesses. Surely none of them has
said something so disdainful of the public.
4 - the commission should be comprised primarily of citizens with 2 members of city council
as part of the commission.
5 City Council has become clueless to the true needs of the City! They need to be helped as
much as possible!
Citizens commission should have a say on decide districts
4 in favor of citizens commission and i urge city council involvement, maybe a couple. I like
the idea of citizens benefiting from what Council members know about the City.
5 strongly support a core of Redwood City private citizens draw up a new map for the
redistricting boundaries, that would alleviate conflict of interest from current city council
members.
5) For way too long the PWC City Council (self-appointed!) has had ALL the decision making
power, with zero citizen voting, leading to some egregious legislative choices that many of us
residents would NEVER have voted for given the choice.
5 - Fox shouldn't guard henhouse
5 - I support empowering the community to be apart of the decision making process but
would not like to give them all the power, I think a checks and balance system would be
best, which means in including other stakeholders as well
5.
