Tom Watson stated concerns regarding a potential skatepark at Red Morton Park citing park <br /> trees to be taken down and maximum use of park. <br /> <br /> Rich Anderson stated that Red Morton is an excellent facility and a skatepark should not come <br /> at the expense of the tennis players. <br /> <br /> Lucille James submitted the petition stating strong opposition to the skatepark and losing trees. <br /> <br /> Bruce Codding stated the Redwood City Education Committee won the Starbucks $100,000.00 <br /> grant, thanked Council and invited all to attend the celebration on July 28 from 10-12 noon. <br /> <br /> P.A. Moore spoke about "City Trees" and stated that the previous month the organization <br /> planted 86 trees and over 300 trees since November. He stated that tree planting would take <br /> place at King and Jeter at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> Rudy Luca referred to an article in the Redwood City Daily News about the City <br /> Communications Specialist position. He asked for a response to the issue of construction <br /> equipment parked at night creating a possible unsafe situation. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and are enacted <br /> by one motion and one vote. There is no separate discussion of these items unless a Council <br /> Member or Citizen so requests, in which event the item is removed from the consent calendar <br /> and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. <br /> <br /> M/S Ira/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt <br /> the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion passed by a <br /> unanimous roll call vote by those present with Mayor Ruskin absent. <br /> <br /> 7.1 Section - Motions <br /> <br /> A. Motion to approve Final Acceptance for Lido Neighborhood Unit No. 3 Subdivision <br /> accepting the improvements, following the submission of a Maintenance Bond in the <br /> amount of $57,300.00 in accordance with Paragraph No. 9 of the Subdivision Agreement; <br /> MINUTE ORDER 01-102 <br /> <br /> B.
