Amendment to by-laws of the Redevelopment Agency naming new Executive <br />Director - REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Council Member Hartnett stated that the Community Development Services <br />Director should be the Redevelopment Agency Executive Director with <br />authorization to appoint staff to serve in the position. <br /> <br />MIS Hartnett/Bain to approve the arnendment to the by-laws of the <br />Redevelopment Agency designating the Community Development Services <br />Director as the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br />Redwood City. The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those <br />present with Council Member Howard absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RD 06-04 AMENDING SECTION 5 OF THE BY-LAWS OF THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />****************-********************************************************************************************************* <br /> <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />A. FY 2006/2007 BUDGET STUDY SESSION II (PowerPoint presentation on <br />file) <br /> <br />City Manager Everett gave the introduction to the study session. <br /> <br />B. Review of Redevelopment Agency Budget for Fiscal Year 2006/07 <br /> <br />Redevelopment Manager Moeller explained the budget overview, operating <br />budgets, proposed general capital projects and proposed housing capital projects. <br /> <br />There was no public comment. <br /> <br />Council Members asked questions related to the Economic Developrnent <br />marketing and promotion for downtown. Council comments included the desire to <br />develop senior housing in conjunction with the proposed child care on Bradford <br />Street. Further Council comments included that the signage for downtown is <br />visible and helpful with sorne banner type temporary signs being used at this tirne <br />as well. Desire for the slides how shown during the presentation to be aired on <br />Channel 26 was also expressed. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />MIS Hartnett/Ira to approve consideration of adoption of the proposed budget for <br />FY 2006/07, as stated in the staff report, on July 10, 2006.
