The <br />specifications indicate that the unit price prevails over the total so you are correct in stating that the <br />total should be $300,000. <br />For reasons I cannot explain, our estimate had a quantity in item 12 of 43 CY instead of 1 LS. Our intent <br />was to bid BI 12 at $860,000 (43 X $20,000) however as a result of the error we are short a total of <br />$840,000 on our bid total. Given the clerical error in bid item 12, we are technically the low bidder. <br />However we will not be able to complete the work for $840,000 less than our estimate. I know you have <br />protocol, systems, and regulations to adhere to.
