6.F. - Page 31 of 32 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION AMENDMENT TO THE <br />FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUES AND <br />EXPENDITURES FOR THE WATER FUND CAPITAL PROJECTS <br />BUDGET BY $3,000,000.00 REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION OF THE <br />CALIFORNIA WATER TANK, PUMP STATION, AND TRANSMISSION <br />MAIN PROJECT AND APPROVING THE TRANFER OF $3,000,000.00 <br />OF FUND RESERVES FROM THE WATER OPERATIONS FUND <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS BUDGET TO THE WATER FUND CAPITAL <br />PROJECTS BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, on October 24, 2011, the City Council accepted the Water System <br />Master Plan Report and directed staff to move forward with specific recommendations <br />and projects for future Council consideration. The Water System Master Plan includes <br />improvements to accommodate water demand by new and redevelopment activities <br />anticipated by the city's General Plan; analyzes and identifies improvements for reliable <br />performance during normal and emergency conditions, such as fires and earthquakes; <br />and prioritizes capital improvements to the system for the next 20 years; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Master Plan includes replacing a water tank and its <br />supporting pump station and water mains in the Emerald Hills water service areas to <br />provide additional storage capacity to meet established needs during normal operations <br />and in emergency situations for the Easter Bowl, Easter Cross, and California pressure <br />zones; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 8, 2019, the City Council awarded the contract for the <br />California Water Tank, Pump Station, and Transmission Main Project (Project) to <br />Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. in the amount of $10,512,160.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget for Water Fund Capital Projects — <br />California Water Tank and Pump Station Project account has an available combined <br />balance of $7,679,563.57; and <br />WHEREAS, an appropriation amendment to the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget is <br />required for implementation of the Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
