Items Provided by Permittee: <br />1301 Maple Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />Telephone (650) 780-7122 <br />Fax Line (650) 780-7149 <br />(a) Sufficient volunteers present at the locations indicated on the course <br />overview maps to safely monitor the routes and event closure areas. <br />(b) The Permittee will notify all businesses and residents along the routes <br />and within the affected event areas with sufficient time to allow for <br />those businesses and residents to accommodate the parking and <br />traffic restrictions associated with this event. <br />(c) Medical response / First Aid personnel immediately available to <br />address medical issues associated with this event. <br />(d) The Permittee will be responsible for providing, placing, and collecting <br />all traffic barricades and/or cones required for this event. <br />(e) Waste reduction activities shall be implemented to comply with <br />California State waste diversion mandate AB 939 --The Integrated <br />Waste Management Act --to the extent feasible. <br />(f) Access to adequate temporary restroom facilities at no expense to <br />the City. <br />(g) The Permittee will pay for the services of police department employees <br />dedicated to traffic control for this event. The department employees <br />may be a combination of both sworn and non -sworn personnel. The <br />required number of department employees required to conduct traffic <br />control to ensure a safe environment for event participants will be at <br />the sole discretion of the Chief of Police or his designee. <br />The hourly rate for the sworn personnel is approximately $82.50 - <br />$123.00 per hour. The hourly rate for non -sworn personnel is $40.24. <br />It is anticipated the services of department personnel will be needed <br />for approximately four (4) hours for this event. Should public safety <br />demands exceed the capabilities of assigned police personnel, <br />additional police resources will be dedicated to this event. The cost of <br />additional police personnel shall also be paid by the Permittee. The <br />need for additional police <br />169 <br />
