8.A. - Page 10 of 40 <br />Page 2 <br />Date <br />Event <br />The City Council reopens the process to consider revised maps that <br />March 25, 2019 <br />comply with federal and state laws and address concerns members of <br />the community have raised and gain additional community input. <br />No meeting <br />March 26, 2019 <br />Demographer revised draft maps posted to the District website. <br />No meeting <br />Community -submitted maps and comments are due by 12:00 p.m. <br />March 30, 2019 <br />Maps submitted by this date will be reproduced by the City's <br />demographer, who will also review the maps to ensure they are <br />population -balanced and meet other required criteria. All community - <br />submitted maps and comments received will be included in the April 8 <br />City Council presentation and staff report. <br />No meeting <br />April 1, 2019 (at least 7 days <br />prior to 6th public hearing) <br />All community -submitted maps and comments posted on the District <br />website. <br />6th public hearing, at which the public is invited to provide input <br />regarding the content of the draft maps and the proposed sequence of <br />April 8, 2019 <br />elections. <br />Council provides guidance on any new or revised maps it wishes to see, <br />or selects a 'preferred' map and election sequence for incorporation in <br />ordinance at next meeting. <br />No meeting <br />Community -submitted maps and comments are due by 12:00 p.m. <br />April 27, 2019 <br />Maps submitted by this date will be reproduced by the City's <br />demographer, who will also review the maps to ensure they are <br />population -balanced and meet other required criteria.
