0RIG I NAL 4/24/00 <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13892 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING ELECTION RESULTS OF <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. <br />2000 -1 (PACIFIC SHORES PROJECT) <br />WHEREAS, the Council is conducting proceedings under and pursuant to the Mello - <br />Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982, as amended (the "Act "), to form the City of Redwood <br />City Community Facilities District No. 2000 -1 (Pacific Shores Project), City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, California (the "District "), to authorize the levy of special taxes upon the <br />land within the District, and to issue bonds in one or more series secured by said special taxes for <br />the purposes of providing moneys for the construction and acquisition of improvements within <br />the District; and <br />WHEREAS the Council has adopted Resolution No. 13891 calling a special <br />election within City of Redwood City Community Facilities District No. 2000 -1 (Pacific Shores <br />Project), City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, California (the "District "). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: <br />1. The City Council has received, reviewed and hereby accepts the City Clerk's <br />Certificate Re: Election Results dated April 24, 2000. <br />2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that the ballot measure submitted to <br />the voters of the land within the District pursuant to our Resolution No. 13891 <br />(Resolution Calling Special Election) has been passed and approved by at least two- thirds of the <br />voters within the District in accordance with Government Code Section 53328(a) and 53355. <br />Therefore, the City Council declares that the special tax is lawfully authorized, and that the <br />subject property within the District is subject to the special tax, and directs the City Clerk to <br />cause a Notice of Special Tax Lien with respect to the property to be recorded in the office of the <br />County Recorder of the County of San Mateo. <br />195709_1 <br />
