4/24/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13878 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE <br />SERVICES — RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues as part of its <br />recreational program for the benefit of the citizens of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires that umpires be <br />selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at such softball games; and <br />WHEREAS, Peninsula Sports Officials Association has represented to the City <br />that it has the personnel qualified to perform the aforementioned duties and <br />responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement by and <br />between the City of Redwood City and the Peninsula Sports Officials Association for said <br />association to furnish City with the aforesaid skills and services; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
