<br />SECTION 4. <br /> <br />For the officers appointed by the Council, the <br /> <br />following monthly salary rates and/or monthly salary ranges <br /> <br />(expressed as minimum and maximum amounts), in dollars, are hereby <br />. <br /> <br />established: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The City Clerk shall receive a monthly salary rate <br /> <br />established within a range of $1,213 to and including <br /> <br />$1,650. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The City Treasurer-Collector shall recieve a monthly <br /> <br />. <br />salary rate established within a range of $1,272 to and <br /> <br />including $1,730. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />The City Controller (holding consolidated offices of <br />City Auditor and City Assessor) shall receive a monthly <br /> <br />salary rate established within a range of $1,800 to and <br /> <br />including $2,400. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />The City Attorney shall receive a monthly salary rate <br /> <br />established within a rral').c<Je of $2,075 to and including <br /> <br />$2,825. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />The City Manager shall receive a monthly salary of $3,000. <br /> <br />Monthly salary rates for Council appointees shall be established <br /> <br />and may be adjusted within the foregoing designated salary ranges <br />by motion of the City Council duly made and carried. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> <br />The provisions of the foregoing sections of this <br /> <br />ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated <br /> <br />to a given class in the competitive service is re-allocated to a <br /> <br />different class in order to correct an error or to provide for a <br /> <br />change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there <br /> <br />is no change in the incumbent of the position so re-a11ocated, and <br /> <br />-the maximum salary provided for the position as re-allocated is <br /> <br />less than the salary received by the incumbent prior to re-allocation, <br /> <br />then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated at the rate paid <br /> <br />-3- <br />
