<br /> 6.1C <br /> Page 1 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cf Mana er <br /> August 7, 2006 <br /> Subject <br /> Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City School District for After School <br /> Program services (State After-School Grant Funding - District providing services). <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve and Authorize the City Manager to Execute the Agreement between the City of <br /> Redwood City and the Redwood City School District for academic support services for After <br /> School Programs. <br /> Background <br /> The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department operates After School Learning <br /> Centers at school sites in Redwood City and the North Fair Oaks Area in partnership with the <br /> Redwood City School District. Services include after school tutoring, recreation and enrichment <br /> programming, life skills education and family education opportunities. <br /> The teons of this amendment allow us to, in our role of Fiscal Agent, use State grant funds to <br /> pay the Redwood City School District for the teachers and teacher aides that work in the After <br /> School programs in the amount not to exceed $205,194. <br /> Alternative <br /> Council may choose not to enter Into the agreement. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> The funding for this portion of the After School Programs is provided by the Safe Before and <br /> ~~ ~ f2f~ <br /> Christopher Beth Ed Everett <br /> Superintendent Director City Manager <br /> Parks, Recreation and Parks, Recreation and <br /> Community Services Community Services <br /> Attachment: <br /> Agreement <br /> . - <br />
