<br />COUNTY OF SO MATEO <br />AIREEMENT WITH INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR <br /> <br />Allreement No. 45000-0g-C <br />ExhlbR MI" <br /> <br />Agreement between the County of San Mateo and City of Redwood City <br /> <br />Use Additional Sheets as Necessary <br />I. Description of Services to be Performed by the Contractor <br /> <br />Contractor (City of Redwood City) shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, and supervision necessary to <br />provide complete and continuous care of all lawn, trees, shrubs, and ground covers, for ongoing maintenance and other landscaping <br />services at Garfield School Playing Fields as per attached Proposal (Exhibit "B"). Contractor shall submit a cost report to the County <br />for any additional work needed. The County and Contractor shall agree to the scope and cost of any additional work and the <br />additional work shall authorized in writing by the Director of Public Works or his designated representative before said work is <br />performed. <br /> <br />Contractor shall walk the entire site each month with a County representative to ensure that all operations are being completed in a <br />satisfactory manner. <br /> <br />Contractor shall obtain all licenses and permits required by city, county and state authorities. <br /> <br />The term of this Agreement is for July 1,2008 to June 30, 2010 a twenty-five month period at the fees quoted on the attached Proposal <br />dated March 21, 2008 (Exhibit "B"). <br /> <br />II. Amount and Method of Payment <br /> <br />Payment shall be made upon receipt of a written itemized invoice identifying the County project number, complete scope of work, <br />specific work completed, number of hours involved and breakdown of charges. <br /> <br />In any event, the total payment for services on Contractor (City of Redwood City) shall not exceed $64,085 (Sixty Four Thousand, <br />Eighty Five Dollars and No/OO) attached proposal (Exhibit "B") In any event, the County shall have the <br />right to withhold payment if the County determines that the quantity and/or quality of the work performed is unacceptable. <br /> <br />III. Prevailinl! Wal!e <br /> <br />When applicable, the Contractor hereby agrees to pay not less than the prevailing rates of wages and be responsible for compliance <br />with all the provisions of the California Labor Code, Article 2- Wages, Chapter 1, Part 7, Division 2, Section 1770 et seq.. A copy of <br />the prevailing wage scale established by the Department ofIndustrial Relations is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, <br />and available at www.dir.ca.govIDLSR or by phone at 415-703-4774.
