0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13863 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE FRIENDLY ACRES <br />AREA STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS — PHASE I; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13820, adopted February 7, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Friendly Acres Area Storm Drain <br />Improvements — Phase I in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Casey Construction of Redwood City, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Casey Construction; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Casey Construction in the amount of Eight Hundred Sixty- <br />three Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-six and No /100 Dollars ($863,426.00), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated March 14, 2000 for the <br />Friendly Acres Area Storm Drain Improvements — Phase I, is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for said work. <br />4/10/00 <br />Reso -651 t <br />DES:djk <br />R/Shared/Redwood/Cound <br />03/23/00 <br />
