Upon non-payment of the charge for sewerage service <br /> <br /> within the time specified in subdivision ¢ hereof, an action may be <br /> brought in the name of the ¢it~ in any court of competent <br /> jurisdi~ion against the owner or occupant of the premises to which <br /> such charge pertains for the ~ollection of such delinquent charges. <br /> If the o~upant of such premises is not also the owner, such eotion <br /> may be brought against both the owner and occupant, both of <br /> whom shall be jointly and severally liable for said charges. Water <br /> service to such premises may be discontinued by the City in the <br /> case of non-payment of the charges established in subdivision A <br /> hereof within the time .required under subdivision C hereof. The <br /> remedies herein established shall be cumulative and in addition to <br /> any and all other remedies available to the City for the collection of <br /> sewer service charges." <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its <br />adoption; provided, however, that the rates and charges established pursuant to <br />this ordinance shall be operative November 1, 2002 (the "Operative Date").
