- ORIGINAL - 11/22/99 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13799 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE MAIN LIBRARY RE- <br /> CARPETING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br /> OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13683, adopted July 26, 1999, <br /> the City Clerk readvertised for bids for the Main Library Re-carpeting Project in <br /> the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said radvertisement, two bids were received for <br /> the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, H.V. Welker Company, Inc. dba Welker Bros. of Milpitas, <br /> California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br /> this Council to award said bid to Welker Company, Inc. dba Welker Bros.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of H.V. Welker Company, Inc. dba Welker Bros. in the amount <br />of Two Hundred Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred No/100 Dollars ($213,200.00), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated October 27, 1999 for the <br />Main Library Re-carpeting Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
