11/8/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13775 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR <br /> PAL "IMPROVE THROUGH ADVANCE" VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR <br /> <br /> (REDWOOD CITY POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Police Activities League (Contractor) conducts an at-risk youth <br />intervention program for residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000.00) from <br />its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for PAL 'Improve Through <br />ADVANCE' Volunteer Coordinator," (form dated 10/15/99), by and between the City of <br />Redwood City and the Police Activities League, a copy of which agreement is on file in <br /> <br /> <br />
