After development of the 15% Concept Plan Layout, Consultant shall begin
working on design documents through final design with 65%, 90% and 100% (Final) document
deliverables.
All project development phases shall proceed in parallel with Jefferson/Cleveland intersection
improvement project.
Scope of work and details for Task.1 through Task. 5 are aligned with these tasks for
Jefferson/Cleveland intersection improvement project in the Original Agreement and modified for
design of the preferred alternative for Jefferson/Clinton intersection.
Task 1: Topographic Survey and Mapping
Consultant shall prepare topographic mapping of the project area and for conforms in all
directions. The topographic survey of the project area shall be at a scale of V = 20'. The survey
shall show the location of existing trees, structures, walkways, fences, adjacent roadways, and
utility information within the project areas. Contours shall be shown at one -foot intervals or as
appropriate to clearly define the slopes. Spot elevations collected by ground surveys, including
finish floor elevations, shall be shown to an accuracy of 0.01' (one hundredth) of a foot.
The location of utility vaults, manholes, catch basins, and invert information of storm and sanitary
sewers shall be shown based upon a field survey. The location of underground utilities lines such
as gas, water, electric, and any onsite utilities shall be shown based upon available City records.
Horizontal datum shall be based on the California Coordinate System, NAD83, Zone 3 and the
vertical datum shall be based upon NAVD88. Mapping of existing utilities shall include utilities that
are visible and accessible from ground level. Dipping storm drain manholes and catch basins (as
needed) for inverts.
In addition to the above the location of the public right or way limits shall be delineated based on
publicly available records. City will provide right of way data to Consultant. This will not constitute
a full boundary survey of the adjacent parcels.
Task 2: Utility Research
Consultant shall research subsurface utilities in the project extents and incorporate utility
agencies' record drawings of underground utility information into the survey mapping.
