EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES The City of Redwood City plans to make safety improvements at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Cleveland Street. Under this contract, Consultant will develop plans, estimates, and specifications (PS&E) for the project and provide limited community outreach. As part of this contract, the Consultant shall also perform a yield study at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Clinton Street to identify the most appropriate treatment to increase safety at this intersection, adjacent to the Cleveland intersection. Consultant shall set up and manage the project, provide utility coordination, perform quality assurance and quality control prior to each milestone submittal in conformance with applicable federal, State, and City standards. For purposes of this Scope of Services, the City's project manager (Project Manager) shall be its Senior Transportation Planner unless otherwise designated in writing by the City Engineer. TASK 1: PROJECT MANAGEMENTAND ADMINISTRATION Task1.1: Kick -Off Meeting and Project Meetings Upon execution of this Agreement, Consultant shall attend a project kick-off meeting with the City staff to confirm the following: • Project's overall vision, goals, objectives, and work plan • Key points of contact • Administration and project management expectations • Strategy for public outreach • Data collection The City will provide available background information such as walk audits, traffic studies, as -built drawings, the location of stormwater drainage inlets, crash data, and other resource documents. Check -ins Consultant shall facilitate monthly phone check -ins to maintain open lines of communication and to make sure the project remains on time and within budget. The consultant shall provide an agenda and action items three days prior to the meeting and a summary of the meeting with new action items within one week of the meeting.
