EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The City of Redwood City plans to make safety improvements at the intersection of <br />Jefferson Avenue and Cleveland Street. Under this contract, Consultant will develop <br />plans, estimates, and specifications (PS&E) for the project and provide limited <br />community outreach. As part of this contract, the Consultant shall also perform a yield <br />study at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Clinton Street to identify the most <br />appropriate treatment to increase safety at this intersection, adjacent to the Cleveland <br />intersection. <br />Consultant shall set up and manage the project, provide utility coordination, perform <br />quality assurance and quality control prior to each milestone submittal in conformance <br />with applicable federal, State, and City standards. <br />For purposes of this Scope of Services, the City's project manager (Project Manager) <br />shall be its Senior Transportation Planner unless otherwise designated in writing by the <br />City Engineer. <br />TASK 1: PROJECT MANAGEMENTAND ADMINISTRATION <br />Task1.1: Kick -Off Meeting and Project Meetings <br />Upon execution of this Agreement, Consultant shall attend a project kick-off meeting <br />with the City staff to confirm the following: <br />• Project's overall vision, goals, objectives, and work plan <br />• Key points of contact <br />• Administration and project management expectations <br />• Strategy for public outreach <br />• Data collection <br />The City will provide available background information such as walk audits, traffic <br />studies, as -built drawings, the location of stormwater drainage inlets, crash data, and <br />other resource documents. <br />Check -ins <br />Consultant shall facilitate monthly phone check -ins to maintain open lines of <br />communication and to make sure the project remains on time and within budget.
