6.A. - Page 13 of 16 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The work in this contract is to provide Geotechnical Engineering Services for the <br />construction phase of the California Water Tank, Pump Station and Transmission Main <br />Project_ Consultant will provide both full-time and part-time inspection as needed, to <br />include observation and testing as necessary of the Specific Geotechnical Tasks <br />outlined below related to the performance of the proposed structures in the Project. <br />1. Mass Grading <br />2. Aggregate Pier Installation — Soil Improvement for Water Tank Foundation <br />3. Soil Nail Installation — Soil Reinforcement for Retaining Wail <br />4. Spread Footing Excavation — Preparation Installation previous to Footing Pouring <br />5. Sub -drain Installation <br />Services will include observation, laboratory testing as necessary to document <br />specification compliance, and to confirm field observations; provide consultation via <br />telephone or email correspondence as needed for the project. <br />Services not included in this agreement are geotechnical observation and testing of the <br />non-structural tasks of the project, including utility trench backfill, flatwork subgrade and <br />aggregate base, pavement subgrade, aggregate base and asphalt concrete. <br />LEVEL OF EFFORT/TASKS/ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES <br />Ifty <br />.
