HSFA funds are currently focused on supporting basic human needs, consistent with the City's
Strategic Initiative for Community of All Ages, which includes the goal of "partnering with community
organizations to provide support to vulnerable members of the community through Social Service Office
Hours and other programming."
In addition, at the City Council meeting on June 27, 2011, the City Council approved continuing support
for the LifeMoves Redwood Family House in Redwood City for $34,800 each year. This funding amount is
in addition to funding available for HSFA each fiscal year.
A Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued in December 2018.
Staff offered a technical assistance workshop in conjunction with the countywide CDBG/Home Funding
technical assistance workshop on January 9, 2019. Agencies submitted their final proposals by January 25,
2019. On February 26, agencies appeared before the HHCC to make brief presentations and answer
questions about their proposals.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
265
