8/23/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> (07/26/99) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13710 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With El Centro de Libertad-The Freedom Center <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, El Centro de Libertad-The Freedom Center is a private, non-profit organization that <br />provides a safe place to begin the process of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction and relapse <br />prevention, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> WHEREAS, El Centro de Libertad-The Freedom Center. has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999 and ending June 30, <br />2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with El Centro de Libertad-The Freedom Center to provide financial assistance in furtherance <br />of its public purposes; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/26/99), by and between the City of Redwood City and El <br /> Centro de Libertad-The Freedom Center a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> Manager is hereby author[zed and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> City. <br /> <br /> <br />
