ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13693 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF REDWOOD SHORES <br /> COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 99-1 (SHORES TRANSPORTATION <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, DECLARING <br /> THE RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION AND DIRECTING THE <br /> RECORDING OF A NOTICE OF SPECIAL TAX LIEN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City (the "Council"), acting as the <br />legislative body of Redwood Shores Community Facilities District No. 99-1 (Shores Transportation <br />Improvement Project) of the City of Redwood City (the "District"), called and duly held an election <br />of the District pursuant to Resolutions No. 13610 and 13611 adopted by the Council on April 26, <br />1999, for the purpose of presenting to the qualified electors within the District a proposition for <br />(i) the levy of special taxes pursuant to the rate and method of apportionment of the special tax set <br />forth in Resolution No. 13611, (ii) the issuance of bonds in a principal amount not to exceed <br />$13,535,000, and (iii) the establishment of an appropriations limit for the District (the <br />"Proposition"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council a Certificate of the City Clerk as to the <br />Results of the Canvass of the Election Returns, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF THE DISTRICT, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The above recitals are true and correct. <br /> <br /> 2. Of the votes submitted by the qualified electors of the District not later than 4:00 <br />p.m. on July 30, 1999, the Proposition has received two-thirds or more votes in favor of such <br />Proposition, and the Proposition has carried. The Council, acting as the legislative body of the <br />District, is hereby authorized to issue, from time to time as it determines appropriate, bonds for the <br />benefit of the District for the purposes set forth in the Proposition and to take the necessary steps to <br />levy the special tax authorized by the Proposition. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be recorded in the office <br />of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo a notice of special tax lien in the form required <br />by Section 3114.5 of the California Streets and Highways Code, said recording to occur no later than <br />15 days following adoption by the Council of this Resolution. <br /> <br />17380.2~22931.0003 -l- <br /> <br /> <br />
