ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 13693 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF REDWOOD SHORES COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 99-1 (SHORES TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING OF A NOTICE OF SPECIAL TAX LIEN WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City (the "Council"), acting as the legislative body of Redwood Shores Community Facilities District No. 99-1 (Shores Transportation Improvement Project) of the City of Redwood City (the "District"), called and duly held an election of the District pursuant to Resolutions No. 13610 and 13611 adopted by the Council on April 26, 1999, for the purpose of presenting to the qualified electors within the District a proposition for (i) the levy of special taxes pursuant to the rate and method of apportionment of the special tax set forth in Resolution No. 13611, (ii) the issuance of bonds in a principal amount not to exceed $13,535,000, and (iii) the establishment of an appropriations limit for the District (the "Proposition"); and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council a Certificate of the City Clerk as to the Results of the Canvass of the Election Returns, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF THE DISTRICT, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The above recitals are true and correct. 2. Of the votes submitted by the qualified electors of the District not later than 4:00 p.m. on July 30, 1999, the Proposition has received two-thirds or more votes in favor of such Proposition, and the Proposition has carried. The Council, acting as the legislative body of the District, is hereby authorized to issue, from time to time as it determines appropriate, bonds for the benefit of the District for the purposes set forth in the Proposition and to take the necessary steps to levy the special tax authorized by the Proposition. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo a notice of special tax lien in the form required by Section 3114.5 of the California Streets and Highways Code, said recording to occur no later than 15 days following adoption by the Council of this Resolution. 17380.2~22931.0003 -l-
