7/26/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13681 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF WATER METERS <br /> AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br /> IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires various <br />sized water meters to facilitate the replacement of existing older type water <br />meters and for the installation of additional water meters in new developments in <br />Redwood Shores; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said water <br />meters in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty Thousand and No/100 <br />Dollars ($130,000.00); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
