7/26/99 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13677 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR REDWOOD SHORES <br /> LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS SEGMENT 8 PROJECT; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br /> WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13639, adopted May 4, 1999, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the Redwood Shores Levee Improvements <br />Segment 8 Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, eight bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Duran & Venables, Inc. of Milpitas, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to Duran & Venables, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Duran & Venables, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred Six <br />Thousand Two Hundred Eighty and No/100 Dollars ($106,280.00), computed in <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 7, 1999 for the Redwood Shores <br />Levee Improvements Segment 8 Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
