"(5) Area 5: All premises located within or outside the City <br /> of Redwood City which were formerly included in the <br /> service area for any water company or system <br /> acquired in bulk by the City shall be included in Area <br /> 5. <br /> <br /> "(6) Area 6: All premises located within or outside the City <br /> of Redwood City on publicly-owned property and used <br /> as a college campus shall be included in Area 6. <br /> <br /> "(b) Monthly Water Quantity rates. The monthly quantity rates <br /> for water supplied by the water system owned or operated by the City of <br /> Redwood City, for water delivered, based on monthly meter readings, to <br /> residential and non-residential premises located within the hereinafter <br /> designated water service areas shall be charged and collected in <br /> accordance with the following schedules for the corresponding ranges <br /> indicated: <br /> <br /> Residential Water Rates <br /> <br />Consumption Ranges In <br /> Units* <br />(Rates Apply to Units <br />Consumed Within Ranges Rate**/Unit <br />Specified) <br /> Effective date <br /> <br />Range 1:12.5 or less Water <br />(Units Consumed) ~ 07/01/99 Service Area <br /> <br /> 0-5.0 $ .82 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 <br /> <br />~ Consumption Ranges and Units consumed correspond to a single-family residence consisting of one (1) <br />independent dwelling unit on a parcel of property served by a single water meter. The applicable <br />Consumption Range for, and number of units consumed by, each dwelling unit in a multi-family residence <br />(consisting of more than one (1) dwelling unit on a parcel of property served by a single water meter) shall <br />be determined by dividing the total monthly consumption of all such dwelling units by the number of dwelling <br />units served by each such meter.
