- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13659 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999 STREET LIGHT <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13635, adopted May 17, 1999, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999 Street Light Improvement Project, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. in the amount of sixty-four <br />thousand four hundred sixty-five dollars ($64,465.00), computed in accordance <br />with bidder's proposal dated June 9, 1999 for the 1999 Street Light Improvement <br />Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement" (form dated <br />06/28/99R) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of <br />the State of California and S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., a copy of which <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br />Manger and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to <br />attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br /> 3. Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of S.G.
