<br />08/28/06 <br /> <br />Recreation Districts and Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space District for a period of 25 <br />years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if this measure is approved by voters, the estimated $800,000 <br />revenue that Redwood City would receive based on the proposed allocation method <br />could support the acquisition of new park acreage and subsequent costs to maintain the <br />new parks developed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, HEREBY: <br /> <br />Endorses and supports the Parks For The Future Ordinance, a 1/8 Cent Sales <br />Tax Measure on the November 2006 Countywide Ballot which, if made into law, will <br />increase the Countywide sales tax from its current 8.25% to 8.375%, thus providing an <br />estimated $800,000 annual revenue to the City of Redwood City for Parks and <br />Recreation purposes. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />ATTY/RESO/RESO.1642 <br />081706 <br /> <br />14727 <br />Muff# 708 <br /> <br />2 <br />
