<br />Exhibit A <br />PROGRAM SERVICES <br /> <br />A. ACTIVITIES <br />1. Assiqnment and Transfer of Aqreement: Notwithstanding Paragraph 7 <br />herein, this Agreement may be assigned by Contractor on behalf of very low-income <br />households (hereinafter called "Beneficiary" or "Beneficiaries") provided that very low <br />income "Beneficiaries" shall assume all rights and obligations of the Contractor <br />hereunder, in form and content satisfactory to the City and Agency. Further, <br />contractor agrees funds hereunder are provided pursuant to 24CFR92, regulations <br />covering the use of HOME funds for eligible subrecipients. <br />2. Sponsor: With funds provided under this Agreement, Contractor shall <br />provide predevelopment and technical experience to one or more non-profit <br />organizations with new construction projects in the Redwood City planning process. <br />Contractor may provide additional assistance in loan closings for state or federal <br />financing for the project to meet City affordable housing goals for special needs <br />populations. <br />Contractor shall use the funds provided hereunder for the advancement of <br /> <br />programs which provide affordable housing assistance to very low and lower income <br /> <br /> <br />residents of the City. Contractor shall coordinate its activities with Mental Health <br /> <br /> <br />Association of San Mateo County on the Cedar Street Supportive Housing <br /> <br /> <br />development to provide new affordable housing and supportive services to Redwood <br /> <br /> <br />City residents, and which are consistent with the Consolidated Plan Objectives to be <br /> <br /> <br />met.
