<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Youth and Family Enrichment Services <br /> Daybreak Shelter for Homeless Youth <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this d'k.i day of.-.. ~()6 r , <br />2006, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Youth and Family Enrichment Services, <br />a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides transitional shelter for homeless youth; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS.
