<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) <br /> Emergency Shelter for Domestic Violence Survivors <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this r:iJJsI- day ~.J,GtI~T <br /> , 2006, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Community <br />Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA), a California nonprofit organization <br />("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, and support <br />services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit A (Contractor Objectives) <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Fifteen Thousand and no/100 Dollars <br />($15,000). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br />of Fifteen Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($15,000) for exclusive use by <br />Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, <br />2007, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />ATTY/AGR/2006.045 <br />081606 1 <br /> ~ <br />
