ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL <br /> Sherry Mitchell, Redwood City resident and owner of Baskin Robbins at the Roosevelt <br /> Shopping Center, thanked the City for arranging the availability of the CERT classes <br /> to the community. She stated that emergency services and emergency preparedness <br /> are a necessity and that her store would like to partner in any way possible. She <br /> further stated that the recent store remodel grand opening involved the Fire <br /> Department staffing a table advertising CERT outside the store. The store offered a <br /> drawing of two emergency preparation kits. Ms. Mitchell presented the City with a <br /> store donation of$500.00 to go directly toward the CERT program. <br /> Sandy Paoli stated gratitude toward those supporting the CERT program. She <br /> thanked Fire Chief Kohlmann for his support and asked the City Council for a <br /> proclamation establishing CERT as a program within the City so that Federal grant <br /> monies can be sought. She further stated that there are 4 slots left for the September <br /> class. <br /> Susan Moeller announced an additional concert for this season on September 15 from <br /> 6-9 p.m. on Theatre Way, which is Middlefield befinreen Broadway and Winslow.
