The reason listed on the permit application was faliage interferes with
solar access.
During our inspection, the City could not confirm the conflict that the tree would
have with the solar access. Additional{y, there may be other options than
removing these three trees.
(n order for me to render a decision to allow the tree to be removed, I will need to
receive additional details on this situation. You state a medical situation as the
basis for this request. I would need some verification from the physician that the
medical condition exists and requires the freatment as the basis for this request.
Additionally, I will need to see full the solar study showing any options for
installing the panels, including perspectives from the neighbors properties of
hat the views will be like with the panels ins#a!led, since that is a concrn you
presented by at least one neighbor. Lastly, if a tree remova! permit is approved,
the permit issuance wil( be coordinated to building permit review and issuance #or
this property. And lastly, if approved, there wil! need to be a repiacement plan for
this site that is consistent with the City's street tree approach for shade-lined
streets.
