Bay Area Water Forum <br /> Council Member Aguirre, Council representative to the Forum, requested <br /> that Redwood City sign on and continue to work on the regional level for <br /> funding. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> M/S Hartnett/Bain to authorize the Mayor to sign the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding in support of Bay Area Water Forum. <br /> RESOLUTION 14730 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING IN SUPPORT OF THE BAY <br /> AREA WATER FORUM <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br /> C. Appointment to City Council-appointed Home Loan Improvement Committee (one <br /> four-year term, expiring May 31, 2009). Applicant: W.L. Butler <br /> Recommendation: <br /> M/S Hartnett/Ira to reappoint W.L. Butler to a four year term on the Home <br /> Improvement Loan Committee. The motion passed by a unanimous roll call <br /> vote by those present. MINUTE ORDER 06-180 <br /> D. Agreement for Consulting Services with W.H. Fawcett for consulting related to the <br /> City's Interest in restoration of Bair Island, and restoring public access to the <br /> levees in Redwood Shores <br /> Mayor Pierce explained the status and requested approval of the agreement. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> M/S Howard/Ira to approve the Agreement for Consulting Services with W.H. <br /> Fawcett. Council Member Bain — mentioned an article in the Redwood City Daily News <br /> referencing the City and School District working together to improve traffic around <br /> the schoofs. He stated it is a wide ranging collaborative effort that has been in <br /> place for some time and results are now being seen in providing safe <br /> transportation of students to and from school. <br /> F. Council Member Aguirre — passed out letters addressed to City Council Members <br /> Inviting them to the North Fair Oaks Community Festival on Sunday, September <br /> 17, from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On September 9, the second annual North Fair <br /> Oaks Community clean-up to begin at the community center. <br /> G. Vice Mayor Foust— stated that on Thursday, August 31, from 6-8 p.m., the last <br /> jazz concert for the summer will be held at Marlin Park.
