This project is lo�ated on State Route $4, which is under Caltrans' <br /> jurisdiction, but maintained by Ci#y staff through a cooperative agreement. The <br /> improvement starts from the Union Cemetery and extends tp #he Alameda de las <br /> Pulgas. <br /> This praject nof anly imprc�ved the aesfhetic appearance of the VEloodside Road <br /> median landscaping, but it alsa improved the appearance of the stamped conc�ete in <br /> the median. Dead and dying trees were replaced, wh�le shrubberies were replanted for <br /> a mor� aniform appearance, �nd to cor�€orrn to new maintenance sta�dards. Existsng <br /> concrete was pressure washed, and existing sma(I `pafches' of planting were <br /> eliminated for a cieaner appearance. <br /> The project was awarded ta Scapes, Inc. of Half Moon Bay, California, for their base <br /> bid of $325,437.80. Two Change tJrders, totaiing $1?,372.69 (5.3%), were issued ta <br /> account for various quantity adjustments af materia{s needed #o complete the project. <br /> Altemative <br /> Do nat accept the project, which wou(d be contrary to previous Council Action. <br /> Pana 1 nf� � <br />
