<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />[CASA DE REDWOOD] <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this .3iday of August 2006, by and between the <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and <br />CASA DE REDWOOD, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides low and moderate income elderly persons with housing facilities <br /> <br />and services including educational, social and recreational activities to enhance their lives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program for <br />residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Five <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($5,000); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Five Thousand and <br />No/100 Dollars ($5,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, <br />and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 solely <br /> <br />for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto and by this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br />3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this agreement which <br /> <br />are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be made without the prior written <br /> <br />consent of City. <br />4. PAYMENTS. Contractor shall keep detailed and accurate records of all expenditures made <br />and expenses incurred which are funded under this agreement. Payments of funds allocated pursuant to <br /> <br />paragraph 1 shall be made to Contractor within thirty (30) calendar days after Funding Agreement is fully <br /> <br />completed and executed. <br />5. STANDARD OF SERVICE. Contractor warrants to City that it will perform all Program <br /> <br />activities funded hereunder in accordance with the highest standards and shall be responsible for, and <br /> <br />Atty/Agr/2006.056 <br />082106 <br /> <br />1 <br />
