5/10/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 13621 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REVISED DELINQUENT <br /> UTILITY SERVICE CHARGE SCHEDULE FOR THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND RECINDING RESOLUTION NO. 900'1 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the collection of delinquent utility fees and charges consumes <br /> significant City personnel resources; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has recommended that the service <br /> charge schedule for delinquent accounts established by Resolution No. 9001 <br /> adopted November 9, 1981, by this Council, be revised to reimburse the City, in <br /> <br /> part, for current costs incurred in collecting delinquent utility fees and charges; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> '1. The charge for collection of unpaid or delinquent fees and charges <br />pertaining to water, sanitary sewerage, and garbage and recycling collection and <br />disposal services are hereby established as set forth in Exhibit "A" hereof, <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, said charges are <br />hereby approved, and this Council does hereby find and determine that said <br />charges do not exceed the reasonable costs of providing the service of <br />processing and collecting such arrearages and delinquencies corresponding to <br />each charge established therefor. <br /> <br />Reso-640 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F\S hared~Redwood\Council <br />04/14/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
