<br />6.10 <br />Page 32 <br /> <br />A probationary employee shall read and discuss his/her monthly performance <br />reports with his/her Company Officer before such reports become part of the <br />employee's employment record. <br /> <br />An employee may be separated from City service at any time during the <br />probationary period without right of appeal or hearing as specified in Section <br />14.3 of this MOU. <br /> <br />11.2 Promotional Probation <br /> <br />All promotional appointments shall be tentative and subject to a probationary <br />period of six (6) months of service from the date of appointment. During the <br />probationary period, an employee may be rejected at any time by the City <br />Manager upon recommendation of the Fire Chief. Any regular employee <br />rejected during the probationary period following a promotional appointment <br />shall be reinstated to the position from which he/she was promoted, unless <br />conditions warrant his/her dismissal. <br /> <br />Upon satisfactory completion of such probationary period, the employee shall <br />be appointed to a regular position in that classification. <br /> <br />SECTION 12 - STATION BIDDING <br /> <br />The bidding procedure presently In effect shall continue during the term of this MOU <br />unless the parties mutually agree to modify the procedure. <br /> <br />SECTION 13 - PROMOTION <br /> <br />13.1 Examination <br /> <br />In the event the City desires to fill a vacancy by promotion, the Human <br />Resources Director shall prepare and administer an examination for those <br />employees holding similar positions In lower classes. <br /> <br />13.2 Eligible List <br /> <br />The names of the successful candidates shall be recorded in the order of their <br />standing in the examination on an eligible list. <br /> <br />13.3 Promotional Appointment <br /> <br />Promotional appointments shall be made from the first three (3) candidates on <br />the eligible list who are ready and willing to accept the position offered. <br /> <br />25 <br />
