EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br /> Fifth Avenue Pump Station <br /> Scope of Work <br /> <br />PHASE I. PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> <br />The preliminary design phase is when the alternatives will be evaluated and critical <br />design decisions will be made. In addition to reviewing existing data we will meet with <br />the city and owner of the mobile home park. During the preliminary design BKF will be <br />evaluating pumping alternatives including the use of submersible pumps to reduce noise <br />and the surface structure. During this phase we will also be investigating the use of the <br />existing generator to service the pump station while the pumping capacity is limited to 30 <br />csf. Environmental review and approving agencies will be identified and listed for City <br />review. The intent will be to prepare a negative declaration for the project. <br /> <br />Task 1 - Design Development/Design Report <br /> <br /> 1. Review of exiting materials <br /> 2. Meeting with property owner & City staff <br /> 3. Meeting with operations to discuss needs for new pump station <br /> 4. Prepare 10' scale aerial topo of site on City datum <br /> 5. Investigate pumping alternatives <br /> 6. Develop 2 alternate building plans for generator <br /> 7. Prepare cost estimates of construction costs <br /> 8. Identify environmental review agencies <br /> 9. Meetings with City staff to review findings <br /> 10. Prepare design report <br /> 11. Incorporate City comments and prepare final Draft report <br /> 12. Administration including weekly project log <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br />· A list of property owners concerns. <br />· A list of the environmental review agencies. <br />· A preliminary plan layout for the new pump station. <br />· A preliminary plan for the generator/control building. <br />· A Draft report outlining the alternatives with preliminary construction and <br /> operating cost estimates. <br /> <br />PHASE II. DESIGN <br /> <br />Upon completion of Phase I, a scope of work and fee will be established for Phase II. <br /> <br /> <br />
