Mayor Claire read the proclamation that was presented to Human Resources Director <br /> Rivera-Pe~a and stated that September is Employee Appreciation Month in Redwood <br /> City. <br /> <br />6, ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> Robert Baldwin thanked Council for their ongoing work and requested assistance with <br /> writing an amendment to the General Plan and a ballot initiative asking the voters to <br /> participate in larger redevelopment projects. Mr. Baldwin suggested that the Council <br /> agenda might be published in the local newspaper. <br /> <br />7, CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br /> will be enacted by one motion and one vote. There will be no separate discussion of <br /> these items unless a Council Member or Citizen so requests, in which event the item <br /> will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered in its normal sequence on <br /> the agenda. <br /> <br /> M/S Hartnett/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br /> by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. Items <br /> 7.1B and 7.1C were removed from the Consent Calendar for separate discussion. <br /> Item 7.1D was continued for discussion at a later date. The motion passed by a <br /> unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br /> 7,1 Section - Motions <br /> <br /> A. Motion to approve the Minutes of the meetings of July 22, July 29 and August 5, <br /> 2002; (301) MINUTE ORDER 02-238 <br /> <br /> E. Motion to accept the following Pacific Shores Development improvements: <br /> · Lot 11 located at 1600 Seaport Boulevard (Fitness Center); <br /> · Lots A-H, which are the common landscape areas; <br /> · Pacific Shores Center Subdivision, which includes a circular roadway portion of <br /> Seaport Boulevard, water, sewer, and storm drain systems; <br /> · Construction of Seaport Boulevard North of Seaport Court (including Frontage <br /> Road) up to the entrance of Pacific Shores; <br /> and release the Bonds following the submission of a Maintenance Bond for each of <br /> the lots and improvements, as shown on the table in the staff report (10% of the <br /> Payment and Performance Bond); (304) MINUTE ORDER 02-240 <br /> <br /> F.
