<br />"Section 9.82 Section 1107.1 is hereby added to the <br />Plumbing Code to read as follows: <br />"'Section 1107.1 When the public sewer system <br />services a building or structure a cleanout must be <br />provided and extended to grade at or near the <br />property line and at or near the point of the sewer <br />lateral connection. Such cleanout must be installed <br />and fabricated and of the materials specified accord- <br />ing to the applicable standard detail of the Public <br />Works Department of the City of Redwood City.' <br />"Section 9.83 Section 1310.1 is hereby added to the <br />Plumbing Code to read as follows: <br />"'Section 1310.1 Domestic hot water heaters <br />when installed within Group H or I occupancy build- <br />ings shall be provided with safety pans with a drain <br />to prevent damage to the building or its contents. <br />Such safety pans shall be of non-combustible materials <br />and of such dimensions to extend beyond the exterior <br />water heater casing at least two inches (2") and have <br />a depth of at least three inches (3"). The drain <br />pipe shall not be less than three-fourths inch (3/4") <br />and shall discharge either into the underfloor crawl <br />space or be taken to the exterior of the building.
