<br />~,... <br /> <br />Q R I :~_L!L~..ll C E <br /> <br />N o. 1614 <br />- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE VII (COMMENCING AT <br />SECTION 9. 70) OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF TIlE CITY <br />OF REIMOOD CITY, AND ADDING ARTICLE VII (COMMENC- <br />ING AT SECTION 9.70) TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, REIATING TO THE ESTABLISH- <br />MENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR THE INSTALLA- <br />TION AND MAINTENANCE OF HEATING, VENTILLATING, COM- <br />FORT COOLING AND REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, INCLUDING <br />THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE "UNIFORM MECHANICAL <br />CODE, 1973 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTER- <br />NATIOBAL,ASSOCIATION OF PLU~mING AND MECHANICAL <br />OFFICIALS AND THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILD- <br />ING OFFICIALS. <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CI T":l DOES ORDAIN AS {o'OLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Article VII (commencing at Section 9.70) <br />of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is <br /> <br />~reby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 2. Article VII (commencing at Section 9.70) is <br /> <br />hereby added to Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />~~ to read as follows: <br />f~. Mechanical Code <br /> <br />"Section 9.70 (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, <br /> <br />et seq., of the Government Code and Section 15 of the <br /> <br />Charter of the City of Redwood City, the "Uniform <br /> <br />Mechanical Code, 1973 Edition," as published by the <br /> <br />International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical <br />Officials and the International Conference of Build- <br /> <br />ing Officials, is hereby adopted and shall be in <br />effect within the City of Redwood City to the same <br /> <br />extent as if set out in full herein except as express- <br /> <br />ly amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> <br />"(b) In the event of any conflict between the <br /> <br />provisions of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1~)73 <br /> <br />Edition, hereinafter referred to as the mechanical <br /> <br />code, and the provisions of this chapter, the pro- <br /> <br />NOY 4 1974 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />1614 <br />
