<br />SECTION 5. For the positions filled by Council appointment, <br />monthly salary rates and/or monthly salary ranges are hereby <br />established as hereinafter set forth: <br />(a) The City Clerk shall receive a monthly salary rate <br />established within a range of $1,065 to $1,449. <br />(b) The City Treasurer-Collector shall receive a monthly <br />salary rate established within a range of $1,118 to <br />$1,521. <br />(c) The City Controller (holding consolidated offices of <br />City Auditor and City Assessor) shall receive a monthly <br />salary rate established within a range of $1,600 to <br />$2,176. <br />(d) The City Attorney shall receive a monthly salary rate <br />established within a range of $1,753 to $2,385. <br />(e) The City Manager shall receive a monthly salary of $2,652. <br />Monthly salary rates for Council appointees shall be established <br />and may be adjusted within the foregoing designated salary ranges <br />by motion of the City Council duly made and carried. <br />SECTION 6. The provisions of the foregoing sections of this <br />ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated <br />to a given class in the competitive service is reallocated to a <br />different class in order to correct an error or to provide for a <br />change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there <br />is no change in the incumbent of the position so reallocated, and <br />the maximum salary provided for the position as reallocated is <br />less than the salary received by the incumbent prior to reallocation, <br />then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated at the rate <br />paid said incumbent prior to such allocation. <br />SECTION 7.
