The - pipe system between the pump' and dispenser, <br />but not including the pump, tank or the dispenser, shall <br />be tested hydrostatically for 30 minutes to 150 per cent <br />of the shut-off pressure of the pump or 75 pounds per <br />square inch gauge, whichever is greater, to insure <br />tightness., The test liq~id shall be that for which <br />the system is intended. I <br />lI~tion 12.21 section 15.217 of the Fire' code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"'Section 15.217 ABANDONMENT OF TANKS. <br />ilia. Whenever any tank is taken ,out of service <br />or shall not have been used for a period of 90 Jays, <br />such tank shall be properly safeguarded or removed <br />in a manner approved by the chief. <br />"'b. A permit shall be obtained from the Chief <br />to rernove, abandon, place temporarily out of service <br />or otherwise dispose of any flammable or combustible <br />liquid tank. <br />"'c. Any aboveground tank which has been out of <br />service for a period of one year shall be deemed <br />abandoned and shall be removed from the property in <br />a manner approved by the chief. <br />"'d.
