<br />capacity~ except that in particular installations this <br /> <br />capacity may be altered at the discretion of the Chief, <br /> <br />after consideration of special features such as topo- <br /> <br />graphical conditions, nature of occupancy and proximity <br /> <br />to buildings, capacity of proposed t~nks, degree of <br /> <br />private fire protection to be provided, and facilities <br /> <br />of the local fire department. The storage of liqui- <br /> <br />fied petro~eum gas shall conform to the provisions of <br /> <br />the above mentioned Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />"'b. Multiple container installations with a <br /> <br />total storage water capacity of more than IBO,OOO <br /> <br />gallons (150,000 gallons L P Gas capacity) .shall be <br /> <br />subdivided into groups containing not more than 180,000 <br /> <br /> <br />gallons in each group. Such groups shall be separated <br /> <br />byadistance of not leES than 50 feet, unless the <br /> <br />tanks are (1) mounded in an approved mclnnr. r, or (2) <br /> <br />protected with approved insulation on such areas that <br /> <br />may,be subject 'to impingement of ignited gus from <br /> <br />pipelines or o~her leakage, or. (3) protected by fire- <br /> <br />walls of approved construction, or (4) protected by an <br /> <br />approved system for application of water, or {5} pro- <br /> <br />tected by other approved means. vfuere one of these <br /> <br />forms of protection is provided, the separation shall <br /> <br />not be less than 25 feet between such container groups. <br /> <br />"~~. The storage and transportation of liquified <br /> <br />petroleum gas and the installation of all pertinent <br /> <br />equipment shall be installed and maintained in accor- <br /> <br />dance with the Safety Orders of the State Division of <br /> <br />Industrial Safety and subject to the approval of the <br /> <br />Chief. ' These orders shall apply to all persons and <br /> <br />places within the municipality except as herein provided. <br /> <br />-27- <br />
