The fraction of final compensation to be provided for each year of <br />credited prior and current service as a local safety member shall <br />be that provided in Section 21252.1 of the Retirement Law. <br /> <br />6. The following additional provisions of the Public Employees' Retire- <br />ment Law which apply only upon election of a contracting agency shall <br />apply to the Public Agency and its employees: <br /> <br />a. Section 20952.5 (providing for age 50 as the minimum voluntary <br />retirement age for local safety members with benefit payments <br />~ommencing prior to age 55 subject to actuarial disco~t). <br /> <br />b. Section 21380-7 (providing for allowances for survivors of me~ <br />bers covered under the program upon death before retirement). <br /> <br />c. Section 21263 (formerly Section 21264) (providing upon death of <br />a local safety member who retired for service or disability for <br />the continuance of one-half the retirement allowance to certain <br />survivors). <br /> <br />d. "Local Policemen" shall include persons assigned to identifica- <br />tion and communication duties in the Police Department who are <br />not now local safety membe=s and who were in such employment on <br />August 4, 1972, who elect safety membership on or before September <br />28, 1973. <br /> <br />7. Public Agency shall contribute to said Retirement System as follows: <br /> <br />a. With respect to miscellaneo1ls members, the public agency shall <br />contribute the follovdng percentages of monthly salaries eanled <br />as miscellaneous members of said System: <br /> <br />(1) 0.26 percent until June 30, 1980 on account of the liability <br />for prior service benefits. <br /> <br />(2) 7.67 percent on account of the liability for current service <br />benefits. <br /> <br />(3) 0.49 percent on account of the liability for the 1959 Survivors <br />program. <br /> <br />b. With respect to local safety members, the public agency shall con- <br />tribute the following percentages of monthly salaries earned as <br />local safety members of said System: <br /> <br />(1) 0.099 percent until June 30, 2000 on account of the lia- <br />bility for prior service benefits. <br /> <br />(2) 13.551 percent on account of the liability for current service <br />benefits. <br /> <br />(3) 0.049 percent on account of the liabili t;y- for tho 1959 Survi YO:::: <br />program. <br /> <br />TIe t.
