<br />SECTION 7. Each employee of the Police Department of the <br /> <br />rank of police sergeant or below who is assigned to the Investiga- <br /> <br />tion Division shall receive additional compensation in an amount <br /> <br />equal to 6.5% of his basic monthly salary for each month during <br /> <br />the period he is so assigned~ provided, however, that each such <br /> <br />employee shall not be credited with the uniform maintenance <br /> <br /> <br />allowance provided under Section 4 of Rule VI of the Personnel <br /> <br />Rules and Regulations of the City of Redwood City during the <br /> <br />period of such assignment. <br />SECTION 8. The provisions of the foregoing sections of <br /> <br />this ordinance to the contrary notwiths'tanding, if a position <br /> <br />allocated to a given class in the competitive service is reallocated <br /> <br />to a different class in order to correct an error or to provide <br /> <br />for a change in duties or responsibilities of such position, <br /> <br />and there is no change in the incumbent of the position so <br /> <br />reallocated, <br /> <br />and the maximum salarv orovided for thG n~~i~i~n <br />- - - <br /> <br />as reallocated is less than the salary received by the incumbent <br /> <br />prior to reallocation, ~hen said incumbent shall continue to be <br /> <br />compen?ated at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such allocation. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. Any and all ordinances, or parts thereof, in <br /> <br />conflict with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed to the <br /> <br />extent of such conflict only. <br /> <br />SECTION 10.
