<br />CGM: yc: 1/24/72 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />!,I"" <br />"'" {; 7;:: <br /> <br />ORD1.NANCE <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />/,f;;' :7 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.45 OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO PRIMA <br />FACIE SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.45 of Chapter 20 of the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 20.45 <br /> <br />It is hereby determined upon the basis <br /> <br />of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed <br /> <br />permitted by State law outside of business and residential <br /> <br />districts as applicable upon the following streets is greater <br /> <br />than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to <br /> <br />exist upon such streets, and it is hereby declared that the <br /> <br />prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those <br /> <br />streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are <br /> <br />erected giving notice thereof: <br /> <br />"Frontage Road on the south side of Bayshore Freeway <br />between Marsh Road and that certain alley situate <br />200 feet west of Second Avenue. Declared prima <br />facie speed limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />"Harbor Boulevard. Declared prima facie speed limit <br />--35 MPH. <br /> <br />"Industrial Way, between the northerly limits of the <br />city and Whipple Avenue. Declared prima facie <br />speed limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />"Marine World Parkway, between the westerly limits of <br />the City and Bridge parkway--35 MPH. <br /> <br />"Veterans Boulevard, between Whipple Avenue and Chestnut <br />Street. Declared prima facie speed limit--35 MPH." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br /> <br />its adoption. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
